Tribhuvan University Postpones All Examinations Indefinitely!

On August 13, Nepal’s Tribhuvan University has published the notice regarding the postponement of all annual examinations conducted by the Examination Control Office, Balkhu, and all semester examinations regulated under Dean’s office due to current COVID-19 situation.

Earlier, the University decided to conduct the semester-based examinations starting September 1 and the annual examinations from mid-September.

However, the latest move to postpone examinations indefinitely comes in response to the resurgence of coronavirus cases in Nepal since the ease of lockdown.

The University has decided to conduct examinations only after the situation returns to normalcy and the concerned Dean Offices make appropriate decisions to this effect.

However, the TU has been publishing the results of different semesters, academic levels and years even as the educational institutions are closed.

According to the Examination Controller Pushpa Raj Joshi, results of only eight examinations conducted before the lockdown are yet to be published.

The TU has also decided to conduct online classes for the start of next semester’s classes.

Likewise, the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) has postponed all its examinations due to COVID-19.
